The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

अतिथिरुवाच ।
ममातिकार्श्यश्रमयोर्भगवन् श्रृणु कारणम् ।
कथयामि तथाभूतं वयं नासत्यवादिनः ॥ २२ ॥

atithiruvāca |
mamātikārśyaśramayorbhagavan śrṛṇu kāraṇam |
kathayāmi tathābhūtaṃ vayaṃ nāsatyavādinaḥ || 22 ||

The guest replied:—Hear me sir, relate to you the cause both of my leanness and weariness, and I will tell you the true facts, and not as a travelling teller of tales deals and lies.
