The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

ज्वलितास्वभितस्तासु तारकास्विव खे तदा ।
बभूव नगरं सर्वमाक्रन्दपरमानवम् ॥ ३२ ॥

jvalitāsvabhitastāsu tārakāsviva khe tadā |
babhūva nagaraṃ sarvamākrandaparamānavam || 32 ||

These being lighted, blazed all about the ground like stars in the sky, and the city was filled with loud wailings of the people all around.
