The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

सामन्तैर्ललनाभिश्च नागरैश्च निरन्तरम् ।
स्वर्गमार्गोपमं राजमार्गमध्यमवाप सः ॥ २७ ॥

sāmantairlalanābhiśca nāgaraiśca nirantaram |
svargamārgopamaṃ rājamārgamadhyamavāpa saḥ || 27 ||

He then came to the royal road, resembling the milky path of heaven;and found it filled by soldiers and citizens, and their women without number.
