The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.45.17

ततो भूतग्रहग्रामजन्मदेशमुपेत्य तम् ।
संस्थितं मठिकां पर्णैः कृत्वा दूरे मुनीन्द्रवत् ॥ १७ ॥

tato bhūtagrahagrāmajanmadeśamupetya tam |
saṃsthitaṃ maṭhikāṃ parṇaiḥ kṛtvā dūre munīndravat || 17 ||

Then returning to their native village in the Bhuta or Bhota district, they built for themselves a poor hut of leaves and straws, and there lived as recluse hermits.
