The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.44.28

अन्यैः पार्श्वगतैर्दीनैः स्रवदश्रुमुखैर्जनैः ।
श्रितं गलदवश्यायैः शुष्कपर्णैरिव द्रुमम् ॥ २८ ॥

anyaiḥ pārśvagatairdīnaiḥ sravadaśrumukhairjanaiḥ |
śritaṃ galadavaśyāyaiḥ śuṣkaparṇairiva drumam || 28 ||

His friends were sitting by his side with their dejected looks, and with trickling tears dropping down their faces and cheeks; and these washed his dead body, as the melting dews on withered leaves, bedew the parent tree.
