The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

तावज्जन्मसहस्राणि भ्रमन्ति भुवि मानवाः ।
यावन्नोपशमं याति मनोमत्तमहार्णवः ॥ ३७ ॥

tāvajjanmasahasrāṇi bhramanti bhuvi mānavāḥ |
yāvannopaśamaṃ yāti manomattamahārṇavaḥ || 37 ||

Men may undergo a thousand transmigrations, and wander about the earth in various births and shapes, and yet find no rest composure of their minds.
