The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

दुःखासारवती राम संसारप्रावृडातता ।
जाड्यं ददाति परमं विचारार्कमपश्यताम् ॥ २३ ॥

duḥkhāsāravatī rāma saṃsāraprāvṛḍātatā |
jāḍyaṃ dadāti paramaṃ vicārārkamapaśyatām || 23 ||

The world presents a scene of the gloomy rainy weather, with showers of woes falling on all sides; it is likely to freeze us in ignorance, unless we look to the sun of our reason.
