The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

इष्टानिष्टफलं त्यक्त्वा समदर्शनया धिया ।
वीतरागभयक्रोधो राज्यं समनुपालय ॥ ३२ ॥

iṣṭāniṣṭaphalaṃ tyaktvā samadarśanayā dhiyā |
vītarāgabhayakrodho rājyaṃ samanupālaya || 32 ||

Govern thy realm without any interested motive of thy own, and without showing any symptom of anger or fear on your part; but preserve your moderation and a tolerant spirit in all your affairs.
