The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.41.17

केवलं स्वस्वभावेन द्रष्ट्रदृश्ये विचारयन् ।
क्षणं विश्रान्तवानन्तः परमात्मात्मनात्मनि ॥ १७ ॥

kevalaṃ svasvabhāvena draṣṭradṛśye vicārayan |
kṣaṇaṃ viśrāntavānantaḥ paramātmātmanātmani || 17 ||

It is only by discrimination of the natures of the viewer and the view (i.e. of the subjective soul, and the objective world); and by reflecting the Supreme Soul in one's self, that the mind receives its rest and tranquillity.
