The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

अहमन्योऽन्य एवायमित्यज्ञानां तु वासना ।
दूरोदस्तात्मबुद्धीनां जयत्यसुमतामिह ॥ १३ ॥

ahamanyo'nya evāyamityajñānāṃ tu vāsanā |
dūrodastātmabuddhīnāṃ jayatyasumatāmiha || 13 ||

The ignorant man thinks himself, to be a person distinct from another; and so all living beings devoid of the knowledge of truth, entertain and exult in their egoistic thoughts.
