The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

आसुरी जनता भूमौ पपातागतसंभ्रमा ।
मत्तलीलाभ्रनादेन राजहंसावली यथा ॥ ९ ॥

āsurī janatā bhūmau papātāgatasaṃbhramā |
mattalīlābhranādena rājahaṃsāvalī yathā || 9 ||

Terrified at the sound, the Daityas fell flat and fainting on the ground; as when the flocks of swans and geese, are stunned at the thundering noise of clouds.
