The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

वेदवेदान्तसिद्धान्ततर्कपौराणगीतिभिः ।
यो गीतः स कथं ह्यात्मा विज्ञातो याति विस्मृतिं ॥ २० ॥

vedavedāntasiddhāntatarkapaurāṇagītibhiḥ |
yo gītaḥ sa kathaṃ hyātmā vijñāto yāti vismṛtiṃ || 20 ||

How can the supreme spirit, which is well known to us by means of the teachings of the Vedas, Vedanta, Sidhantas and the Puranas, as also by the Logic of schools and the hymns of the Vedas, be any way forgotten by us?
