The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

प्रह्लाद उवाच ।
आत्मा सर्वपदातीतश्चिरात्संस्मृतिमागतः ।
दिष्ट्या लब्धोऽसि भगवन्नमस्तेस्तु महात्मने ॥ १ ॥

prahlāda uvāca |
ātmā sarvapadātītaścirātsaṃsmṛtimāgataḥ |
diṣṭyā labdho'si bhagavannamastestu mahātmane || 1 ||

Prahlada continued:—I thank thee, O lord and great spirit! that art beyond all things, and art found in myself by my good fortune.
