The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

मदनानलसंतप्ते शीतेन मनसा मनः ।
भग्नमन्तर्मया तप्तमयसेव बलादयः ॥ ७४ ॥

madanānalasaṃtapte śītena manasā manaḥ |
bhagnamantarmayā taptamayaseva balādayaḥ || 74 ||

Whenever my mind is heated by cupid's fire, I cool it by the coolness of my cold and callous intellect coolness; as they temper the red hot-iron with a cold and hard hammer.
