The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

इदानीं संपरिज्ञाय मयैष परिमोषितः ।
अहंकारपिशाचोऽयं शरीरतरुकोटरात् ॥ ४३ ॥

idānīṃ saṃparijñāya mayaiṣa parimoṣitaḥ |
ahaṃkārapiśāco'yaṃ śarīratarukoṭarāt || 43 ||

My knowledge of truth has now driven away my egoism (or knowledge of myself) from my mind; as they drive a spirit from its hiding-place in the hollow of a tree.
