The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

यद्यज्ञास्यन्निमे तत्त्वं भोगदुःखार्थिनस्तदा ।
भावाभावान्धकूपेषु नापतिष्यन्हताशयाः ॥ १०८ ॥

yadyajñāsyannime tattvaṃ bhogaduḥkhārthinastadā |
bhāvābhāvāndhakūpeṣu nāpatiṣyanhatāśayāḥ || 108 ||

If these foolish pursuers after the painful pleasures of the world, had known the path of truth they would never fall into the dark pit of unsubstantial pursuits.
