The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

ईहानीहामयैरन्तर्या चिदावलिता मलैः ।
सा हि नोड्डयितुं शक्ता पाशबद्धेव पक्षिणी ॥ १०४ ॥

īhānīhāmayairantaryā cidāvalitā malaiḥ |
sā hi noḍḍayituṃ śaktā pāśabaddheva pakṣiṇī || 104 ||

The intellect which is vitiated by the dirt of its desire and dislike, is impeded in its heavenly flight, like a bird caught in a snare.
