The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

संकल्पकलिता त्वेषा मन्दाभासतया जगत् ।
न सम्यक्पश्यतीदं चिदृष्टिः पटलिनी यथा ॥ १०३ ॥

saṃkalpakalitā tveṣā mandābhāsatayā jagat |
na samyakpaśyatīdaṃ cidṛṣṭiḥ paṭalinī yathā || 103 ||

The intellect being vitiated by its volition, does not see the soul in a clear light, as the hoodwinked eye has naught but a dim and hazy sight of the world.
