The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

परां दृष्टिमिमां त्यक्त्वा दग्धराज्ये रमेत कः ।
कस्त्यक्त्वेक्षुरसं प्राज्ञः कटु निम्बपयः पिबेत् ॥ ७८ ॥

parāṃ dṛṣṭimimāṃ tyaktvā dagdharājye rameta kaḥ |
kastyaktvekṣurasaṃ prājñaḥ kaṭu nimbapayaḥ pibet || 78 ||

What man of sense would turn his eyes from so romantic a sight, and like to roam in a city burnt down to the ground: and what wise man is there that would forsake the sweet juice of sugarcane, in order to taste the bitterness of Nimba?
