The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.34.5

विष्णावन्तर्हिते देवे पूजायां कुसुमाञ्जलिम् ।
पाश्चात्यं दानवस्त्वक्त्वा मणिरत्नपरिष्कृतम् ॥ ५ ॥

viṣṇāvantarhite deve pūjāyāṃ kusumāñjalim |
pāścātyaṃ dānavastvaktvā maṇiratnapariṣkṛtam || 5 ||

As the lord Vishnu departed from his sight, the chief of the demons made his oblations after him; consisting of handfuls of flowers and rich gems and jewels of various kinds.
