The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.32.25

विबुधा ऊचुः ।
किमेतद्भगवन्दैत्या विरुद्धा ये सदैव ते ।
ते हि तन्मयतां याता मायेयमिति भाव्यते ॥ २५ ॥

vibudhā ūcuḥ |
kimetadbhagavandaityā viruddhā ye sadaiva te |
te hi tanmayatāṃ yātā māyeyamiti bhāvyate || 25 ||

The gods said:—How is it Lord! that the demons who had always been averse to thee, have now come to embrace thy faith, which appears to us as an act of magic or their hypocrisy.
