The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.32.2

वपुषो वैष्णवादस्मान्मा भून्मूर्तिः परावरा ।
अयं प्राणप्रवाहेण बहिर्विष्णुः स्थितोऽपरः ॥ २ ॥

vapuṣo vaiṣṇavādasmānmā bhūnmūrtiḥ parāvarā |
ayaṃ prāṇapravāheṇa bahirviṣṇuḥ sthito'paraḥ || 2 ||

And that this figure might not be otherwise than the form of Vishnu himself, he invoked the Spirit of Vishnu to be settled in this his outward figure also.
