The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.31.58

इमौ मही मे चरणाविदं मे गगनं शिरः ।
इदं वपुर्मे त्रिजगदिमे मे कुक्षयो दिशः ॥ ५८ ॥

imau mahī me caraṇāvidaṃ me gaganaṃ śiraḥ |
idaṃ vapurme trijagadime me kukṣayo diśaḥ || 58 ||

I see the earth as the footstool of Viraj, and the high sky as the canopy on his head;his body is the stupendous fabric of the universe, and his sides are the sides of the compass.
