The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.31.52

अयं मे कर्णिकाकोशनिलीनब्रह्मषट्पदः ।
पद्मः करतले श्रीमान्स्वनाडीकुहरोद्भवः ॥ ५२ ॥

ayaṃ me karṇikākośanilīnabrahmaṣaṭpadaḥ |
padmaḥ karatale śrīmānsvanāḍīkuharodbhavaḥ || 52 ||

Here I see the lotus in the hand of Vishnu, representing the lotus of his navel the seat of Brahma, who rose from and sat upon it, as a bee to form his hive of the world.
