The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.31.10

हृतद्वारकपाटासु दैत्यान्तःपुरभित्तिषु ।
प्रभा मरकतस्येव जाता नवयवाङ्कुराः ॥ १० ॥

hṛtadvārakapāṭāsu daityāntaḥpurabhittiṣu |
prabhā marakatasyeva jātā navayavāṅkurāḥ || 10 ||

The inner apartments are laid open without their doors and enclosures, and are overgrown with the sprouts of barley, shooting out as blades of sapphires from underneath the ground.
