The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

दुद्रुवुर्दानवौघास्ते दिग्ज्वलन्मशका इव ।
उपाययुरदृश्यत्वं दीपा इव गतत्विषः ॥ २२ ॥

dudruvurdānavaughāste digjvalanmaśakā iva |
upāyayuradṛśyatvaṃ dīpā iva gatatviṣaḥ || 22 ||

The demons fled from before him as moths from the burning fire, and they became extinct as extinguished lamps, at the blazing light of the day.
