The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

नास्तमेति न चोदेति तत्प्रज्ञा सुखदुःखयोः ।
समा स्थिरकरा चित्रलेख्या सूर्यावलिर्यथा ॥ ३१ ॥

nāstameti na codeti tatprajñā sukhaduḥkhayoḥ |
samā sthirakarā citralekhyā sūryāvaliryathā || 31 ||

There is no rising or setting of his intelligence, in the states of his pleasure or pain; but it remained one and the same in its full brightness, like the disk of the sun in a painting.
