The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

बलौ प्रबुद्धे तद्बालं विरेजे नगरं तदा ।
वैरिञ्च इव सूर्यौघ उदिते कमलाकरः ॥ २ ॥

balau prabuddhe tadbālaṃ vireje nagaraṃ tadā |
vairiñca iva sūryaugha udite kamalākaraḥ || 2 ||

Bali being awake, his city (Mavalipura) was renovated with fresh beauty, as the lotus-bed is revivified by the rising sun in the eastern horizon.
