The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.27.17

न द्वेषोऽस्ति न रागोऽस्ति न मनो नास्य वृत्तयः ।
चिन्मात्रस्यातिशुद्धस्य विकल्पकलना कुतः ॥ १७ ॥

na dveṣo'sti na rāgo'sti na mano nāsya vṛttayaḥ |
cinmātrasyātiśuddhasya vikalpakalanā kutaḥ || 17 ||

But the passions and feelings, the mind and its powers, are mere attributes and not properties of the Intellect; which being altogether a simple and pure essence, is free from every attribute.
