The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

कष्टं चिरतरं कालमनर्थोऽर्थधिया मया ।
अज्ञानमदमत्तेन कालेन स्वेन सेवितः ॥ १४ ॥

kaṣṭaṃ cirataraṃ kālamanartho'rthadhiyā mayā |
ajñānamadamattena kālena svena sevitaḥ || 14 ||

Alas! that I have spent such a large portion of my life time, in pursuing after trifles in the ignorant giddiness of my mind.
