The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.24.61

भोगान्विगर्हयेत्प्राज्ञः श्रेयोद्वारदृढार्गलान् ।
प्रौढायां भोगगर्हायां विचार उपजायते ॥ ६१ ॥

bhogānvigarhayetprājñaḥ śreyodvāradṛḍhārgalān |
prauḍhāyāṃ bhogagarhāyāṃ vicāra upajāyate || 61 ||

The wise man detests all worldly enjoyments as if they are the strong bolts or barriers at the door of bliss; and it is the settled aversion to earthly pleasures, that brings a man to his right reason.
