The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

विषयाकलितानन्दमनन्तोदेति निर्वृतिः ।
न कदाचन जीवानामात्मविश्रवणादृते ॥ ५५ ॥
viṣayākalitānandamanantodeti nirvṛtiḥ |
na kadācana jīvānāmātmaviśravaṇādṛte || 55 ||
The living souls that place their happiness in worldly objects, can never have the taste of true felicity, unless they rely themselves wholly in the Supreme Spirit.
