The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.24.15

तस्मिञ्जिते जितं सर्वं सर्वमासादितं भवेत् ।
दुर्जयं तद्विजानीयात्युक्त्यैव परिजीयते ॥ १५ ॥

tasmiñjite jitaṃ sarvaṃ sarvamāsāditaṃ bhavet |
durjayaṃ tadvijānīyātyuktyaiva parijīyate || 15 ||

Hence the mind being conquered, everything is subdued and brought under subjection; but the mind is invincible without adoption of proper means for its subjugation.
