The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.24.9

पौरुषेण प्रयत्नेन स्वभ्यासेन शनैःशनैः ।
द्वयं संपाद्य यत्नेन देशमाप्नोषि तं शुभम् ॥ ९ ॥

pauruṣeṇa prayatnena svabhyāsena śanaiḥśanaiḥ |
dvayaṃ saṃpādya yatnena deśamāpnoṣi taṃ śubham || 9 ||

It must be by the exercise of your continued manly exertions and diligent application, that you employ yourself in both these practices, in order to arrive to the state of your well being.
