The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

बालवल्लालयित्वैनं युक्त्या नियमयन्ति ये ।
राजानं तं समालोक्य पदमासादयन्ति ते ॥ ४ ॥

bālavallālayitvainaṃ yuktyā niyamayanti ye |
rājānaṃ taṃ samālokya padamāsādayanti te || 4 ||

The ministerial mind being brought up like a boy in the right way he should go; leads the man to the presence of the sovran soul, as the raja yoga or royal service advances the servant before his king.
