The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

अत्यन्तबहवोऽप्येते भोगा हि न सुखावहाः ।
क्षोभयन्ति मनो मोहे पातयन्ति सतामपि ॥ ४७ ॥

atyantabahavo'pyete bhogā hi na sukhāvahāḥ |
kṣobhayanti mano mohe pātayanti satāmapi || 47 ||

All those various luxuries and superfluities of the world, are no way conducive to our real happiness; in as much as they mislead the mind to error, and corrupt the souls of even the wisest of men.
