The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.22.7

श्रीवसिष्ठ उवाच ।
श्रृणु राघव ते वक्ष्ये बलेर्वृत्तान्तमुत्तमम् ।
श्रुतेन येन तं तत्त्वबोधं प्राप्स्यसि शाश्वतम् ॥ ७ ॥

śrīvasiṣṭha uvāca |
śrṛṇu rāghava te vakṣye balervṛttāntamuttamam |
śrutena yena taṃ tattvabodhaṃ prāpsyasi śāśvatam || 7 ||

Vasishtha replied:—Attend Rama! to the interesting narrative of Bali, and your attentive hearing of it, will give you the knowledge of the endless and everlasting truth and immutable verities.
