Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

न तत्त्रिभुवनैश्वर्यान्न कोशाद्रत्नधारिणः ।
फलमासाद्यते चित्ताद्यन्महत्त्वोपबृंहितात् ॥ १२ ॥

na tattribhuvanaiśvaryānna kośādratnadhāriṇaḥ |
phalamāsādyate cittādyanmahattvopabṛṃhitāt || 12 ||

There is no greater good to be derived by any other means, than by the greatness of mind. It gives a security which no wealth nor earthly treasure can confer on men.
