The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

शोकोपहतचित्तोऽसो भ्रमन्काननवीथिषु ।
ज्यायांसमनवेक्ष्यैव पावनो विललाप ह ॥ २४ ॥

śokopahatacitto'so bhramankānanavīthiṣu |
jyāyāṃsamanavekṣyaiva pāvano vilalāpa ha || 24 ||

Being overwhelmed by sorrow in his mind, he wandered about in the woods; and not having the firmness of his elder brother, he continued to wail in his mourning.
