The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.15.20

कयाचिदेव दैविक्या हृदि ग्रथितयानया ।
तृष्णया भ्राम्यते व्योम्नि रज्ज्वेवार्कोऽन्वहं किल ॥ २० ॥

kayācideva daivikyā hṛdi grathitayānayā |
tṛṣṇayā bhrāmyate vyomni rajjvevārko'nvahaṃ kila || 20 ||

There is a divine power, which hath implanted this insatiable avarice in the heart of man; which whirls him about, as if tied by a rope, like the sun revolving round its centre in the sky.
