The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

नूनमस्तंगतो यत्र तृष्णाकृष्णनिशाक्रमः ।
पुण्यानि तत्र वर्धन्ते शुक्लपक्ष इवेन्दवः ॥ १२ ॥

nūnamastaṃgato yatra tṛṣṇākṛṣṇaniśākramaḥ |
puṇyāni tatra vardhante śuklapakṣa ivendavaḥ || 12 ||

The heart which is not darkened by the gloomy night of greediness, feels the rays of humanity sparkling in it, like the glancing of the bright moon-beams.
