The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

परमात्मदशां त्यक्त्वा चेत्यं परिपतन्नलम् ।
यदा गच्छसि संकल्पं चेत्यं संपश्यसे तदा ॥ ५६ ॥

paramātmadaśāṃ tyaktvā cetyaṃ paripatannalam |
yadā gacchasi saṃkalpaṃ cetyaṃ saṃpaśyase tadā || 56 ||

By departing from the state of the Supreme Soul, and falling to the thoughts of the mind, you will be crowded by your imaginations, and see only the objects of your thought all about you.
