शिलान्तरेषु जायन्ते कीटभेकघुणादयः ।
विष्ठायामपि जायन्ते नानाकीटगणास्तथा ॥ ३३ ॥

śilāntareṣu jāyante kīṭabhekaghuṇādayaḥ |
viṣṭhāyāmapi jāyante nānākīṭagaṇāstathā || 33 ||

Insects are seen to be born in the crusts of stones, as frogs, vajrakitas and others; and many kinds of worms and insects, are found to grow in and subsist upon the faeces and excrements of animals.
