The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.14.25

मेघा वातैर्विधूयन्ते वायवो गिरिभिर्जिताः ।
गिरयो वज्रनिष्पिष्टाः शक्रस्य वशगः पविः ॥ २५ ॥

meghā vātairvidhūyante vāyavo giribhirjitāḥ |
girayo vajraniṣpiṣṭāḥ śakrasya vaśagaḥ paviḥ || 25 ||

The clouds are worsted by tempests, and these again are obstructed by the rising rocks and mountains. The mountains are split by thunder claps, and the thunderbolts of heaven are broken by the thundering Sakra.
