The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.13.84

देशान्तरानुभवनं प्राणो वेत्ति हृदि स्थितम् ।
स्पन्दवेदनतो यत्तन्मन इत्यभिधीयते ॥ ८४ ॥

deśāntarānubhavanaṃ prāṇo vetti hṛdi sthitam |
spandavedanato yattanmana ityabhidhīyate || 84 ||

The living body perceives in its heart, the notion of a distant place which exists in the mind, and this proves the identity of the vital breath and the thinking mind.
