The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.13.78

मनस्तत्र परिक्षीणं यत्र संवित्परात्मनः ।
अन्धकारक्षयस्तत्र यत्रालोकः प्रवर्तते ॥ ७८ ॥

manastatra parikṣīṇaṃ yatra saṃvitparātmanaḥ |
andhakārakṣayastatra yatrālokaḥ pravartate || 78 ||

The mind vanishes into nothing, before our consciousness of the Supreme Soul; just as darkness is dispelled from that place, where the sunshine is present.
