The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

येनात्मदृश्यसद्भावादभितो भावनोज्झिता ।
स न संगृह्यते दोषैर्हर्षामर्षविषादजैः ॥ ४२ ॥

yenātmadṛśyasadbhāvādabhito bhāvanojjhitā |
sa na saṃgṛhyate doṣairharṣāmarṣaviṣādajaiḥ || 42 ||

He who has the sight of the inner spirit, is freed from the thoughts of the external world, and is not subjected to the joy or grief or sorrow and other evils of his life.
