The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

विवेकं परमाश्रित्य विलोक्यात्मानमात्मना ।
धिया विरागोद्धुरया संसारजलधिं तरेत् ॥ १० ॥

vivekaṃ paramāśritya vilokyātmānamātmanā |
dhiyā virāgoddhurayā saṃsārajaladhiṃ taret || 10 ||

It is by reliance in one's reasoning and resignation, and by his spiritual vision of the Supreme spirit, that he is saved from his misery in this ocean of the world.
