The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

सामान्यैरपि भूपत्वं प्राप्तं प्रज्ञावशान्नरैः ।
स्वर्गापवर्गयोग्यत्वं प्राज्ञस्यैवेह दृश्यते ॥ ३२ ॥
sāmānyairapi bhūpatvaṃ prāptaṃ prajñāvaśānnaraiḥ |
svargāpavargayogyatvaṃ prājñasyaiveha dṛśyate || 32 ||
An ordinary man is often seen to become the ruler of men, by means of his greater knowledge than others; and the wise and discreet are entitled to glory in both worlds.
