The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

असत्त्वमेतच्च न सद्व्योरेवासतोः सतोः ।
संबन्ध इति चित्रेयमपूर्वैवाक्षरावली ॥ १५ ॥

asattvametacca na sadvyorevāsatoḥ satoḥ |
saṃbandha iti citreyamapūrvaivākṣarāvalī || 15 ||

Should the mind and the world be both of them realities and co-existent for ever, then there can be no reason for the joy or sorrow of the one at the gain or loss of the other.
